From My Tree Onto Me

You remember my hand-made Christmas tree garland from this post? Who would've thought such a thing could double as a human accessory? Brilliant I know. I delightedly wore it about our apartment as I took down our Christmas decor yesterday. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
Anyone else have the cleaning bug in their system this month? I feel a sudden motivation to purge and organize afresh for the new year. We brought six grocery bags (and counting) full of stuff to Goodwill tonight! Photobucket And it has left my closet looking like this... Photobucket
What a wonderful feeling to have clean spaces and to know all of what I own will be used regularly.

I'm off to shop for a 2012 planner. Anyone know of a good (and beautiful-looking) weekly planner that is sold online? I decided to go back to a written planner/calendar this year. It's been three years since I've had one, and I'm afraid I miss it. No more ical for me...

Love to all,

  1. Hi, Courtney! The garland slash necklace looks great on you!

And I, too, have started the year with this rush to organize and clean; it is so rewarding to see a renewed and clean part of the house. Hopefully, we can keep up with the organization and redecoration of the rest of the house. So much fun!

As for your question, I really want to buy the Frankie Magazine 2012 planner ... But it's kind of sold out everywhere :/ ...

    Hope you're having a great week! ;D

  2. I'm in agreement on missing a hand written calendar! I think I will pick one up also! I will have to do some online browsing to see what's out there!
I love your tree garland-turned-scarf! Super cute!
And yessss! I hear you on the cleaning...as I am unpacking boxes from the move I am realizing how much I need to get rid of! Spring cleaning is going to be a big one this year for me!

  3. I love the scarf! So cute! I have also had the cleaning bug lately! Packing, moving and unpacking really makes you think about what you really need to keep and use! I had a good consignment shop to take my old clothes in MO but I need to find one in TX now!

  4. Great idea to wear the garland as a scarf. It is too pretty to not get year-round use! By the way, your hair is SO cute. Love the bangs and layers! We just took down our tree on Tuesday, it feels so nice to go through the house and get it looking spit-spot again!

  6. Dear Courtney-- I adore the weekly pad with the SOMEDAY column as the eighth day column put out by the english co. Bob's Your Uncle (and how great is that name??). I can't afford one this year but sometimes go online just to enjoy its colorful simplicity. I think you'd love it--check it out.

Keep blogging, I like it. :)
