Christmas Time is Here

Ta-da! The tree is up in all its glory, new handmade garland and all.

Here are a couple close ups of the garland now that it has been ironed flat. Do you like it flat better? Or crinkled better? Maybe the difference isn't as great as I think it is, but I love it flat.Photobucket

I'm so grateful for this season, the time to be with family and friends celebrating the birth of Jesus. How cool that He is remembered all over the world. Our Savior and King...

I love spending time decorating and thinking of the gift God gave us in His Son.

  7. Ah, you have such a cute place! I love it! The tree looks absolutely lovely. I prefer the garland ironed too, it shows off the pretty stitches even better. Nice work!

  9. What a beautiful tree!

I have to admit- I was thinking about this very post over the weekend... My mother gave me her super old tree stand and said that I need to put a tree up in my apartment. So now I have this Christmas tree stand riding around with me in my car, all the while thinking about how to decorate this tree, and you definitely have inspired me to crochet garland! The one reason why I would not get a tree, is because I don't have any decorations!
So thank you for the inspiration! And I'll be sure to let you know how the tree goes. :)

  11. Your tree is so pretty. It makes me wish we had a real tree in our house- maybe next year...

I came over from Megan's blog and love your blog. I'm a pianist, too (I studied piano performance in college). I'm not as good as I once was (back in high school and college) but I still try to play a little every day. I can't play be ear at all either. Everything I know came note by note. Your piano is beautiful, by the way.
