Practice With Me?

My recital is just a month away. I've been playing the piano and studying privately since I was six but still struggle with making myself sit down and practice. Some days it's wonderfully enjoyable and other days it is the last thing I feel like doing. Today was one of the latter. 


So I decided I would make a recording, invite ya'll in and make myself feel not quite so alone as I prepare. This is the first half of the first piece of my program. 

Anyone else struggle with certain tasks they know they must complete?

    Awesome! Very cool of you to share that.

    Practicing any kind of musical instrument was always SO difficult for me to make myself do, which was sort of at odds with how competitive I was when I played. Right now I've got a couple of work tasks that I just can't make myself focus on long enough to do. Sigh.

    I used to struggle with practicing, too. It was mostly because I wanted to play something other than the assigned piece. LOL I always wanted to play something off the radio, not from a method book or a classical piece.

    You sound great! Hope things go well for your recital!

    Sounds beautiful! Also, your glasses are super cute. =) I've been feeling the same way, I have a few performances coming up and I know I need to practice but it's just hard to make myself! I guess 20 years of practicing has finally caught up with me and I'm revolting against it!
